EMR Imagecenter™ Release Notes

EMR Imagecenter referenced by MyEMR & EMR Datacenter;

MyEMR and EMR Datacenter have been modified, subject to software licensing, to launch EMR Imagecenter as a seamlessly integrated application in a MDI child window controlled by the patient selection process. 

There is not a separate, disconnected application window to appear or to close so that the integration level provides the appearance of a single enterprise application.

Scanning multithreaded thumbnail changes;

Upon scanning a new document, the thumbnails are added to the paperclip pane and the page(s) pane and rastorize the displays using multithreads for optimal performance.

Annotation toolbar events;

The annotation toolbar has been consolidated with the primary toolbar and takes advantage of dynamic events fired from the annotation viewer for greater user interaction and visibility.

Triple pane scrollbars;

The triple pane scroll bar behavior has been resolved for window display for a patient's individual document imaging view settings smaller than maximized.

Toolbar preferences;

The file management and annotation toolbars are now able to be arranged by the user and their locations remain persistent.   

Printing preferences;

Options are now provided to print documents either with or without the annotation layers.

Document thumbnails show annotations;

The document thumbnail viewer now shows the document's annotations within the thumbnail for easier and more rapid document selection.

Zoom mode persistence

The zoom mode of the annotation viewer is now stored as a preference for each user profile.

Multi-thread apartment model;

Synchronization of the multi-threaded mutex has been optimized for multi-core and multi-processors workstations.

EMR Imagecenter child window focus;

When canceling 3rd party hardware's TWAIN scanner interface, the EMR Imagecenter window automatically recovers active window focus.

Choose device menu;

The "Choose Device" menu is now dynamically initialized only upon the first request for its use.

Thumbnail annotation view;

The thumbnail annotation view is now cleared during scanning.

Document annotation;

Text callouts, sticky notes and rubber stamps have been added to EMR Imagecenter's document annotation toolbar.

Triple pane window view;

EMR Imagecenter's folder thumbnail and document viewer have been expanded into a triple pane window.  This supports a first page thumbnail view of available documents, multipage thumbnails of multipage documents and a sizeable document annotation window.
