No. There is no software locking in our software in any way to restrict installation or reinstallation. You have an unlimited user license for use within your business. InstallShield sometimes needs the company name and user name but we don't use that information. We do advise you to have strict Windows users logins and EMR Datacenter user login PIN numbers, and office policies of not sharing passwords.
We trust our users to safeguard the software and not give copies to their friends. However, we appreciate referrals to http://www.myemrfree.com to download our freeware MyEMR for Windows and CatchPhrase.

Download the setup files, saving them to your server's C:\Program Files\Chirosoft folder.
Make sure you have a current data backup. Make sure no Pocket PC's are connected to a cradle or other connection. All users much be logged off. Once downloaded to the server, browse to its C:\Program Files\Chirosoft folder.
Double-click on SetupEMRDatacenter.exe to launch its installation and take the default choices until you have clicked "Finish".
Next, double-click on SetupMyEMRWin.exe to launch its installation and take the default choices until you have clicked "Finish".
Next, logon to the EMR Suite Attendant, which may advise you that the application and database version are not the same. Agree with the message to upgrade.
When the database upgrade is complete, you should be able to proceed logging into the EMR Suite Attendant and launch EMR Datacenter and MyEMR for Windows. Then close the applications.
Now that the main computer is installed and the database upgraded, on the workstations, you can browse to Network Places to find \\SERVER\Chirosoft (where "SERVER" is the name of your main computer that has the data) and you will see the SetupEMRDatacenter.exe and SetupMyEMRWin.exe located there. Double-click SetupEMRDatacenter.exe and wait approximately 30-45 seconds for the setup to launch and accept all factory defaults until you click "Finish". Next, in that same \\SERVER\Chirosoft folder, double-click on SetupMyEMRWin.exe and wait approximately 30-45 seconds for the setup to launch and accept all factory defaults until you click "Finish".

Open the patient's file. If the claim has already been created, click the Post Insurance icon on the left. You will see all open claims for that patient. Right click the claim you want to print and choose Force CMS-1500 08/05 from the menu. The claim will print.
If you haven't created the claim yet, with the patient file open, click Patient > Create Quick Cliam (pre-billing strict). You can then follow the steps above.

On the new computer, run the installation(s) of SetupEMRDatacenter.exe and/or SetupMyEMRWin.exe. Log in to the factory default database so your database path is set.
Then, take a copy of the "Data" folder from the previous computer's C:\Program Files\Chirosoft folder, and paste that copy into the new computer's C:\Program Files\Chirosoft folder. This real "Data" will overwrite the blank factory default "Data".

There is not a PIN number for the Default User. Leave it blank to sign in. However, part of things to setup would include assigning PIN numbers and adding users. This is performed from:
Start->All Programs->Software Motif->User Security
The doctor or owner needs full administrative priviledges. Other users can have permissions granted by the discretion of their supervisor.

Where is the data folder to backup with MyEMR and/or EMR Datacenter?

Where is the data folder to backup with MyEMR and/or EMR Datacenter? |

For a factory default installation, the data folder is located at:
C:\Program Files\Chirosoft\Data
You should backup the entire data folder and its subfolders.
Once you have a full data folder backup (which includes ancillary files such as letter templates), the single most important file, assuming a factory default path installation is the following file:
C:\Program Files\Chirosoft\Data\Main\cs_pub.mdb
When backing up, all users must be closed from all MyEMR/EMR Datacenter applications, as well as no Pocket PC's can be connected through ActiveSync (as Pocket PC's are themselves users).
