MyEMR for Windows Product Release Notes – October 2004 4Q2004
For the benefit of all products, a searchable online
Frequently Asked Question (FAQ)
for non-technical has been added. Users are invited to
participate, particularly in the FAQ
forum for training level questions.
A fax number field is now available for a patient. The users should
inquire as to the privacy of the fax number and should require a signature
release on file to fax protected healthcare information.
The SOAP note properties in the prior tab now displays the note submission
history. This history is now being collected as of the October 2004
software release.
For Canadian postal codes, the postal code field now supports 10 digit
alpha-numeric characters.
Default provider slots can now be added for provider ID's that have a maximum
allowed number of characters.
ThirdPartySync has been modified to optionally trim a large quantity of
patients by perusing the transaction table to identify the patient's most recent
service visit, as a determination of who are "active" patients.
MyEMR for Windows ignores complaints that were previously associated with
body regions but have since been deleted.
ThirdPartySync is now modified to support the newer Eclipse file format while
remaining backward compatible with the previous file format.
MyEMR for Windows Product Release Notes – July 2004 3Q2004
Appointment report now includes Add'l Chart field.
E-mail is now a search criteria for SmartSelect.
Support for the patient's middle name of up to 15 characters is added, for
the purpose of patients who use their first initial, full middle name and last
name.
Users can now customize the field captions for the user defined fields of the
Patient Information window. Choose Tools->Customize->Patient custom
fields
The legacy voice note capability is re-implemented into MyEMR for Windows,
along with its annotation report. Note: This voice note capture is a
separate format than MyEMR Pocket PC Rich Ink embedded notes. However,
this was re-implemented for legacy compatibility.
The front desk window displays the patient processed count, on a per-provider
basis, as patients are signed-in and checked-out. Walk-in patients are
managed separately because a walk-in patient may not see their regular provider
in a multi-provider clinic. All information is read real-time from the
database for accuracy.
File format compatibility with the Chiro 7000/8000 and Medisoft import has
been modified to include a default provider ID.
Appointment time slot count remains when moving an appointment. An
appointment may be moved to another provider if using the composite view in a
multi-provider clinic.
The patient's cellular phone number is added to the patient general
information window.
A problem introduced with the custom patient fields has been corrected to
allow for sustained used of "continue adding patients."
The patient's visit frequency, if defined in MyEMR's plan window, is
displayed in the appointment window for convenience when booking or
multi-booking appointments. The appointment window is re-designed for
800x600 resolution with the Windows task bar always visible.
For the convenience of MyEMR users, there is no longer a requirement to have
remarks or a treatment plan when scheduling, although we still recommend adding
at least a remark indicative of the appointment's purpose.
An Auto-Doc data conversion has been completed to import all patients,
generated SOAP notes, generated narratives, and indicate visits where SOAP notes
were not generated.
The potential patient dialog window was a few pixels too short. This
has been corrected and is displaying as intended.
There is now a patient appointment count total on the header of the
appointment schedule.
You can now delete all future appointments for a patient who has withdrawn
from care prematurely. This feature is located on the appointment window,
when viewing a patient's appointment history.
Future appointment schedule: You can print a patient's future
appointments from the appointment window.
You can now right-click to edit the date/time of a narrative report.
MyEMR for Windows Product Release Notes – April 2004 2Q2004
There is no longer an error when deleting the doctor and/or transcriptionist
initials in the following window:
Tools->Customize->Notes->Initials
ThirdPartySync: The default provider ID is now stored as a persistent
value (for the Medisoft import), instead of defaulting to *TEMP as the provider
ID.
Menu link: There is now a menu link for ThirdPartySync on Start->All
Programs->Software Motif->ThirdPartySync
The default error message print box is now resized to display more
cosmetically appealing.
There is now an optional force page break between notes when printing notes
for a single patient. This selection is stored in the registry so that it
becomes the user default selection. This is intended for notes being
submitted to attorneys who require a single note per page, instead of
continuously streaming several notes per page.
Database maintenance tools and blank database templates are distributed for
any needed database maintenance at the user location without the necessity to
send or upload data for normal maintenance procedures.
